All on a Golden Afternoon

You are lounging by a creek with your back against a beautiful old oak tree. The sound of the burbling water seems to speak to you, and flowers lend their fragrance to the air. The warm sun heats the land, and you feel a bit drowsy. That’s when you notice the rabbit hopping down the path.

It might be strange that it’s dressed in a red waistcoat and is glancing furtively at a pocket watch. However, that pales in comparison to the fact that it is worriedly complaining about being late. A talking rabbit? Whoever heard of such a thing? Sure, there’s Bugs Bunny, Thumper and Roger Rabbit, but they are cartoon characters. This is a real rabbit with white fur and pink eyes.

The rabbit hurries by with cries of “I’m late! I’m late!”

What do you do?
Follow the rabbit, duh. I’ve read Alice in Wonderland, and it’s awesome!

Remain at the stream. This is probably a hallucination brought on during the time between waking and sleep. I could use a nap.

Go home and have a spot o’ tea. I must be hungry, dehydrated or both to be seeing talking white rabbits.
